Exploring Personal Growth, Human Potential, and issues of Importance in Life Coaching

How to find an Advanced Success and Life Coach?

Q. How can I find an advanced Success and Life Coach to work with? Today everyone seems to be a life coach and I need to work with someone who can teach me advanced information?

A. The important thing to keep in mind is that it is not a life coach’s job to tell you what to do. It is the coach’s role to guide and support your developmental process.

As important as it is to seek an advanced coach to guide you on the path at the same time, you must keep in perspective that any teacher also is a student and will have his or her own limitations. The most effective teachers help others to fulfill their dreams.  The best of these individuals are extraordinary in almost every way. They are quick thinking, kind, passionate and generous. These individuals know how to:

  • Ask the right questions.
  • Listen to you and empathize with your conflicts while maintaining effective boundaries.
  • Refer you to other teachers with more appropriate skills.
  • Use strong critical thinking skills and be consciously respectful of your religious and faith-based beliefs, age, gender, culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and abilities.
  • Help you to create a regular, consistent system for self-assessment and introspection.
  • Guide you in creating a strong personal foundation and daily Wisdom Practice.
  • Determine what your short-term wants are versus your essential needs.
  • Offer assistance in setting achievable goals.
  • Offer support in defining your values, beliefs and personal style.
  • Offer assessment skills for measuring creativity, and innovation

In the Western, developed world, a culture of independence and going it alone has been dominant for some time. Social networking has helped to change this pattern. Only the most ordinary person, a person of limited vision, a person whose life is filled with unnecessary struggle and wants to keep it that way will believe he/she can achieve his/her goal and fulfill a vision without the services of a mentor or teacher.

For those seeking to be more effective, efficient, precise, productive, and self-aware through game-based thinking, and Harrison’s Applied Game Theory (HAGT)  I offer coaching, mentoring, online courses,  and private seminars on the subject.
