An easy to create order in your life is to view your life as if it is a game.
Let’s review the key elements in a game:
Players: Each person who makes a choice in a game or who receives a payoff from the outcome of those choices. In Baseball, there are nine players on each of 2 teams. In poker there may be a number of players at the start of each game, however, this can change as the game progresses over time.
Length of the Game: Some games like basketball and football are determined by a specific time frame. A cocktail party invitation may state “From 6 – 9 PM”. The length of a poker game varies depending on the number of players, type of game and blind levels (forced bets). Generally what is known by regular players as a “6 seater sit and go game” would last approximately an hour, but tournaments could last several hours, depending on the skill levels of the various players. Some poker games have a strict time limit enforced. This is what takes place in “speed chess” and “Sky Poker”.
Strategies per player: In any game each player chooses from a limited number of possible actions. In daily life the number of possible actions allowed in a game space might be defined by the law, how the law in enforced by various rules, regulations and unwritten social contracts and generally acceptable behavior in a specific game space. The total of these possible actions is known as a “set*”. In some games, the number of available strategies is the same for all players but this is not always the case.
By viewing your life a game to can begin to strategize to excel and be more effective in every way
